Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t have Harry Potter, but our review does.

There is no point in saying “fi” about conveyors if the conveyor is good. Take for example the old parts of Splinter Cell, they weren’t conveyor belts? There were, how! But who cares what’s the difference between the first part and Pandora Tumorrow, you have to look for the differences with a magnifying glass if the result is interesting to play? And it turns out somehow completely absurd.
-Are you going to play the new Assassins Creed??
-No, I’m such a fool, playing the same thing year after year!
-Man here came Elden the demon dark soul ring!
-OM NOM NOM! BASE WHAT A MASTERPIECE, MIYAZAKI IS A GENIUS AND GIGACHAD!
1 – I don’t know how you even compare Hogwarts with Persona and FE, where the gameplay and social activities are basically different. why didn’t you compare it with games from Yubikov, for example, to which this game is many times closer?
2 – despite the disadvantages, the game is still not bad. and considering what Potter games were released before this (with the exception of the platformers 1-3, beloved by many) – excellent. so yes – quite commendable. and for fans of the universe (which I personally am not one of) – amazing
These are all games that take place in educational institutions. Where there is interesting interaction with peers, interesting lessons and different faculties?
We have an absolutely ordinary game tied to collecting questions in the open world, of which heaps come out every year.
No, our features are exclusively the world of GP, remove that and the result will be little better than Forspokrn, which has Garbage and Mad Max 2015, which has Pohodnyak.
Let’s compare it with Bully then, it’s from 2006 and still a few heads taller
She’s not bad, she’s as average as possible. To be blunt in the review, if you’re not a fan, you probably won’t like it. That is, all the charm is in the world of the GP, and not in the game features, this is an indicator of a good game?
In HG the characters are all the same. Regardless of your faculty, everyone will be extremely polite and friendly to you.
nor in P5, where you simply answer 1 teacher’s question every few days, and every few weeks you take an exam consisting of several questions
I just agree with the faculties. because in FETH the choice of "faculty" affects the storyline
And where is even this minimum in HG?
But besides this, you actually need to play the game, and not just admire the world. Move the conditional Alistair from DAO to any other world and he will still be an interesting character. Remove the Weasley name here and the character here will cease to be of any interest.
You can act like a teenager in school there. You can kick teachers and classmates into lockers, or you can be a decent student and walk arm in arm with girls. Even though you have a pre-created character with his own characteristic and reaction to the world, you can still give him some personality.
Here, although you seem to create your own individual space for maneuver, there is simply zero. You will always be a kind, polite and decent young wizard.
Whether you’re in orange or green.
And the presence of mini-games during lessons would not worsen the game in any way.
at least Hogwarts doesn’t have such a terrible plot and disgusting characters as in Forspanking, it works much better (although there are some problems with optimization) and the world is more interesting to explore because it’s not a fucking desert
The story about Mary Sue, whom everyone carries in their arms, is also of such good quality. Not to mention crutches to stretch it.
Well, you said it yourself – “a little BETTER than Forspoken and Mad Max”… t.It’s BETTER than Mad Max. and Mad Max has Prokhodnyak… hence the next rating is Commendable)
It would be logical to stage Prokhodnyak, with the caveat that for fans it might be at least Amazing.
and where is it in Persona and FE?)
ordinary dialogues with classmates are not interesting interactions. it’s just dialogue
and in principle there are no interesting lessons either in FETH, where you simply set up a curriculum and increase your stats), or in P5, where you simply answer 1 question from the teacher every few days, and once every few weeks you take an exam consisting of several questions
I just agree with https://casinoquatro.co.uk the faculties. because in FETH the choice of "faculty" affects the storyline. but in P5, in principle, there are no faculties. like in Bulli
and now we come to the point that the world and atmosphere can influence the perception of the game. amazing, really?)
several heads taller than? is that there are several lessons with minigames? yes, the game is already 17 years old and to criticize it is so-so by modern standards, but it has a crooked, uninteresting combat system, most of the quests are like from an MMO (only instead of herbs and tails you need to collect underpants), the game world is extremely uninteresting even for its time.
at least Hogwarts doesn’t have such a terrible plot and disgusting characters as in Forspanking, it works much better (although there are some problems with optimization) and the world is more interesting to explore because it’s not a fucking desert
speaking of the desert – it is also in Mad Max, which you mentioned. so yes – we return to the first point – the world INFLUENCES the perception and evaluation of the game. because the world is not only “form” but also content. because there is a huge difference between driving through the desert and exploring a magical world
not to mention the activities that at Hogwarts consist not only of destruction and destruction of enemies (as in Forspanking and Mad Max)
Well, you said it yourself – “a little BETTER than Forspoken and Mad Max”… t.It’s BETTER than Mad Max. and Mad Max has Prokhodnyak… hence the next rating is Commendable)
Let me also remind you that the assessment is SUBJECTIVE.
how many times to repeat – “listen to the text, don’t look at the score”
That is, as a result, we only have a beautiful wrapper for the development that was not the responsibility of the studio, everything else was done at most averagely, or even worse.
And the game does not stand up to comparison with the same bully, persona or fire emblem.
But it’s still commendable, because this is Harry Potter.
Form is more important than content, unfortunately.
I like people who need to chew on every thought)
What the game has to offer apart from this world? Maybe an interesting story? Complex characters? Unusual game mechanics?
So they didn’t create this universe, they had not only books, but also many films where everything was invented for them. They handled it well.
And not a fan of what the game has to offer? I haven’t read VK, but it didn’t stop me from watching the trilogy, so why should it be different here??
Waiting for the review! Finally!
I immediately remembered Fen’s arguments for the review of the One Piece game where Prokhodnyak stands, and was surprised that Hogwarts had a different assessment. In the end, it all comes down to “Well, it’s about Hogwarts, Potter and all that – fans will like it” and the fact that Potter has a larger audience than “Piece”, although if you haven’t read/watched it, then the game is just a mediocre pass-through.
It’s just that in the same Forspoken, the combat system is also not the worst, but it’s still worth rubbish. The exploration of the world here is also not very implemented, so it quickly becomes monotonous. Yes, and the puzzles are wonderful, where you can’t, for example, fly to the right tower on a broom simply because the developers don’t want you to solve it, so get down and crawl up with your feet.
I don’t ignore virtues, these virtues just don’t work if you don’t really care about the universe. And the game is mediocre, but not bad at all.
It’s just a shame in some places for the lost potential, because sales are very high and very positive reviews practically guarantee that they won’t fix anything because they’ll buy it anyway.
They’ll add Quidditch and now the second part is ready for you.
For example, I am not a fan of Pirates, but in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, I was completely immersed in the world of piracy, and received mega emotions from piracy itself. The game was able to attract me, not a fan of piracy, with this game on the theme of piracy. You can say then you are a fan of assassins, so the game was able to attract you, but no, I am not a fan of Assassins, the Game was able to attract not a fan of such themes.
With Harry Potter, it’s better to get acquainted with the books or films, but the game only catches you with its fan service, and not with its characters, humor or history.
This means there are no interesting characters, no humor, and no good plot?
Now, if you imagine a situation where there are a lot of Harry Potter games and good ones, then there would be a gap here. But alas, this is not the case, the game is unique in its own way, well-tailored – the result is commendable.
Seriously? If there are no more games set in Harry’s life, then you can safely turn a blind eye to its flaws? I believe that there is no need to raise the rating because there are no more good Harry Potter games. The rating should be given exactly what the game turned out to be as a whole.
If this is so, then this is very bad.
I watched all the films as a child, But I am not a fan, I am, so to speak, a lover of magic, Will the game be able to hook me as a non-fan, but having watched all the films? Or is it just a game for fans??
Well, of course, you compared Green with cold and sweet.
Bully is a completely different kind of game and it’s a good, well-rounded game with a lot of interesting things to do – but man, it’s not even close to the complexity of Hogwarts.
Persona is Jay RPG no comparison at all.
And the content – we don’t like open worlds from Ubisoft here – just like many don’t like FIFA – but they sell, which means most players approve of this approach, and perhaps if they hadn’t added this, they would have pecked at the developers for the small amount of content.
why did you climb a second time?? .
Very disappointing review. Looks like my worst expectations for this game have come true. Instead of a simulator of a magic school student, which logically should be a game, they made some kind of sub-shooter in the dead scenery of Hogwarts, entertainment for fans.
Of course, everything is very beautiful, high-budget, large-scale, high-quality and interesting in its own way, but extremely superficial. The entire atmospheric role-playing component, all the depth, which is extremely important for this type of game, is fucked.
What the hell is clearing out bandit camps?? To make a good game in this setting, it would be possible not to add a combat system at all, but to focus on research, interaction with others and the actual training in witchcraft, which could very well be made very interesting if there was a desire.
In short, I will certainly buy the game in 5 years, on sale. In the meantime, I will play Bully and Academagia, which are much more like a Hogwarts student simulator than the actual Hogwarts game itself.
Is it worth playing if you’re not a fan?? No. and rating "commendable".
Remember – about “conveyor belts” and other games that have no fans in the editorial office, you can and should say “fi” and be indignant that “there are only hamsters around who eat brown stuff”. If the game is from another “subjective #otherreviewscannotexist” review by the author – don’t you dare, don’t do that, the game is normal, everyone has different tastes, the rating is fair, listen to the review, don’t look at the rating, and further down the list.
Well, based on this logic, we were not promised a good plot with interesting characters, so really, why be indignant? ?
When you play a story-driven game, you expect a good story. When launching a story game about a magic school student, it is logical to expect that all this will be played out.
That the environment plays the role of not just a virtual museum, but is also competently integrated into the game process itself, after all, this is a game.
And at the same time you played games where the educational institution was also the main theme. I saw how this feature was revealed and included in the gameplay.
And not finding even a hint of this here, you begin to feel disappointed.
The developers didn’t need to invent a world, everything was written before them. The developers didn’t have to worry about how to transfer what was written to the screen and not disappoint anyone, because the films did it for them.
It was enough for them to write a good story, since they did not want to experiment in any way and made the game according to a well-known template.
I’ve almost finished the game))
Voice acting – my respects. It turned out very well. Well, of course, thank you very much for the review!
